It feels a little odd to me sometimes, wearing a poppy in November. In NZ our day of remembrance for the fallen, which is called ANZAC Day, is on 25th April. So I try and honour both dates.

Weeell, it's kinda complicated - I was born in London of NZ parents, went to NZ with them (I celebrated my 3rd birthday on the ship home) and grew up in NZ, and came back to the UK when I was 27. So I have dual NZ/UK citizenship. I tend to think of myself as a NZer even though I have less rights there regarding any children I might have, than in the UK, as I wasn't born in NZ. And I still have an accent even though I've been here 7 years!

Just watched the first episode where Jack takes over command.


I had my minutes silence today, and tehn another one while talking to a New Zealand ex-pat living london at 8pm tonight.


This is a doulbe day for me, as my Nana, who was a home service nurse died today 10 years ago.


Lest We Forget (<-- it kinda feels as though we've forgotten the reason why all those young people died. I'll never forget them though)
