Holiday plans

Wheehee! Just booked myself for four days holiday in Malta in May - mainly to attend a friend's wedding. She's Maltese, he's Irish, and it's being held in a very lovely C.12th chapel, going the full Roman Catholic hog. Oddly enough I've only actually been to one Catholic wedding before (my aunt and uncle's), despite being brought up as one, what seems like many many aeons ago (currently I'm of the Spiritually but Non-Denominationally-or-Organised-Religion Inclined Persuasion).

I have 2 1/2 free days there though, so I plan to sit around the Grand Harbour sipping coffee or wine and reading a good book. One of my best friends is coming but he'll probably troll off and do scubadiving and other such energetic outdoors stuff. I'm not terribly keen on the idea myself. Maybe some minor touristy historical stuff, but my goal is mostly lazing around and relaxing. Mmmmm. I can't wait already.

Oh excellent! Didn't realise you lived on Malta (tiny hunk of conformist mediterranean rock? LOL!). Yep, we definitely have to get together! Will be there Thu 6th - Mon 10th May, but the Saturday is my friend's wedding.

99.99% I'll be here unless in a conference in the UK (but that is supposed to be in April anyways). As it stands now, I have monday and tuesday off uni, but by that point lectures are usually so fucked around that there is every chance that I will not have and then I will or whatever - we'll see closer too the time!... I'm so exciteid.... *glee at the first real slasher she will ever meet* But we'll definitely get together - sod uni - slash abounds!

Well, I arrive on the Thursday about lunch time, and leave noon Monday, so will have to be at the airport about 10ish. I'm staying at the Grand Harbour Hotel if our reservation goes through. I'll have to see if Fi wants to do anything before the wedding first, but we can arrange it closer to the time as to what suits us.
LOL! Yep, you can finally say you met a LJ person in RL!
