Bitching and Blasphemy

Back at work after three and a half days in bed with a bug, very kindly given to me by our resident schoolteacher, Britchick, on Thursday last (another reason never to have sprogs). My throat hurts, my glands are puffy and tender and my head feels like an inside-out hedgehog, all bristly and prickly and ouch. I rather wish I hadn't bothered getting out of bed. I've told one of my managers not to expect anything intelligent out of me for the next couple of days...

Oh. Oh. Colin Farrell has one eyebrow! The sneer! The stubble! This is Alexander the Great? He looks like a surfer with a really bad dyejob.

Talk about awful publicity shots. Once again, Hollywood slays me.

I couldn't stomach watching Troy (despite the allure of Sean Bean & Orlando Bloom) and somehow, no matter how well Farrell acts, I get the feeling Alexander is going to be another entry on my "To Miss" list...

And on the serious side of 'ridiculous', here's a post by spankmonkeyjack about some Greek lawyers threatening to sue Warner Brothers film company and the film's director, Oliver Stone, for suggesting Alexander the Great was bisexual.
