Malteaser... (ok, pad pun)

Malta in two days! I'm getting very excited. I was severely tempted to take my laptop along with me, until I remembered that scene from 'The Net' with Sandra Bullock's character sitting on the beach on holiday typing away on one, and me thinking "What a loser." Oops. [blushes] So no laptop. It's only a three full days holiday anyway, and one of them is spent at the wedding. So for those 'fill-in' moments, I shall take a couple of good books and a sketchpad instead (not that there is anything wrong with taking a holiday to actually write, just something wrong with going on holiday somewhere exotic with sun and culture and shit, and not taking your eyes off the VDU). I've had a look at a guidebook and there also seems an inundation of interesting places and museums in Valletta, so I shan't run short of eyecandy anyway (and hopefully some of them are open on Sunday, as the shops aren't).

I finally finished making and photographing the wedding jewellery at 2am this morning. Phew. I have to pack tonight as I'm going straight to a hotel near Gatwick after work tomorrow. The trek out to the airport for an 07:15 flight was just way too hellish to contemplate. And that's the only daily departure for Malta with BA (who were half as cheap as Malta Air, so I still come out on top).

Over the weekend I found a black crocheted wool shawl and a very nice black formal hat to go with my outfit, courtesy of my local charity shops. They came to the awesome total of £3.75 ($6.70), so I am feeling very satisfied with myself. [licks feather off top lip]
