Some good news finally
Oct. 27th, 2003 12:01 pmHoorah! The seller has agreed to pay the roof repairs, and it looks like I won't actually have to pay the lawyer anything more than what he's already quoted. I need a letter from the upstairs flat to confirm the roof-repair amount quoted is correct, and then everything is pretty much wrapped up, bar the exchange. [crosses fingers]
Packing on Thursday and Friday were pretty tough going though - I was totally exhausted by the end of Saturday - slept for 12 hours straight! Fortunately I hired movers or I would probably be in my grave now. ;-P
So I am now officially possession-less or, of greater importance, officially PC-less. Of necessity my feedback will be somewhat limited for the next month - not that I'll be ignoring you, just that my only computer access will be at work.
All my worldly goods are now locked in a 45 foot3 storage unit in the middle of Acton - a sad state of affairs, which will probably last until the end of November. As my friends have kindly volunteered to put me up for the next few weeks, I figure I may as well get the floors down if I can, before moving in.
