I didn't know before today that Princess Alice was the patron of one of my choirs. We had a moment's silence at tonight's rehearsal and got to look at photographs of her with the choir, dating back to (if I remember rightly) the Sixties. She is remembered with great fondness by the veteran members of the choir.
