Harry Potter ficlet written for impulsedriven's 2 minute challenge #33 (word for challenge under cut).

Characters: Draco/Ron


Just after sex there were a few heartbeats of weakness that Ron usually exploited ruthlessly. This time he finally asked the question that had haunted him for the last few months,

"So why me and not Harry?"

Malfoy gave a sleepily annoyed moan, but answered nonetheless,

"Because a Malfoy may fall in love inappropriately, but they never fall in love suicidally."

Somehow, that restored Ron's belief in his sincerity.
